My Best Me: Decision Making

In last week’s post I talked about how 2020 is giving us the opportunity to transform in our inner and outer worlds. The process of transformation can take very different paths, but one common thread in all paths is decision making. Every day we are being given the opportunity to make decisions that will bring about transformation in our lives.

Do we think about making decisions as a transformational process? Probably not. Even if we don’t think about it this way, it is! Through decision making, we demonstrate our values, priorities, and character. Our decisions give us the opportunity to show who we are and who we want to be.

We choose hundreds of times a day: what to wear, what to have for breakfast, do we want cash back at the grocery store, what direction do I want my work to go in, should I sell my company? Each choice is a demonstration of what we value. If we want to value different things, then we need to make different choices.

Here are three questions you can ask yourself to spark personal and professional transformation and reflection:

* What choice can I make to be the best me?

* How do my decisions reflect how I feel about myself and the world?

* How can I make decisions that honestly represent who I am and who I want to be in the world?

Stay curious friends!
