Every year a word comes to me that will guide my personal growth. Last year was “nurture,” and as always, it was interesting to see how it played out in my work, life, and personal development.
In 2022 I continued nurturing myself in personal training. I’ve gone from bench pressing 65 pounds to 102 pounds, and I am physically stronger than I’ve ever been. (If you live in State College, check out Kinetik. They’re fabulous.)
I adjusted my schedule to have no more than four client sessions per day, as many of my clients are still on video and it wipes me out. I had to admit to myself that I’m not my best after four contiguous video sessions. Adjusting the schedule was easier than reframing my mindset to allow this new boundary for my own well-being.
Every year brings surprises, and 2022 was no exception. Through the ups and downs, twists and turns, I was able to keep relatively focused on nurturing myself because I had the help of many people, including my coach.
Change doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Many times we need help to keep on track. If you want to make changes this year and need an objective person to ask you good questions and dig deep with you to identify what you want or help you get there, coaching might be for you. Send us an email or go to the website to schedule your free 30-minute coaching session to see if coaching is right for you in 2023.
