Where's Your Power?

We all have things that consistently give us energy. And sometimes we forget what those things are, they can be taken away from us for a season, or our priorities change. One of the things that I find helpful in my work, especially when looking at my monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals, is to repeatedly evaluate what are the most enjoyable parts of my job, what gives me energy.

When we are clear about what we love most about our work, we can choose to do more of those things. Doing more of what we love gives us energy, enthusiasm, and more momentum in tackling problems. It makes us more productive, more knowledgeable, and sometimes more efficient. Regardless of whether you own your own company or work for someone else, you can evaluate what gives you juice and then do more of it.

I enjoy coaching and am always looking to help people through that medium. In addition, I love to teach and train people, which is a tiny segment of Dream Big’s work right now. So I’m currently in a discernment process as to what teaching and training through Dream Big Coaching could look like. It’s exciting to acknowledge that there are ways that I can be creative, positively impact the world, and enjoy my work simultaneously.

Questions to ponder:

  • What gives you energy and power?

  • What gives you a sense of accomplishment after a long day of work?

  • How can you increase the part of work that you love to do (for example, this might require delegating tasks to others, being clear with your supervisor, or creating something new for your business)?

Stay curious friends!
